Its disconcerting to see only 12 cars competing at the Adelaide opener. Has it become too expensive or is there more exposure in GT3 as Richo has elected to run?
i thought there were 22 cars imported for the series so 10 are idle?

The popularity of GT3 has certainly taken a bite out of Carrera Cup. Many more gentleman racers are picking GT3.

I believe a new model is due next year for Carrera Cup, meaning some are avoiding buying a car for 2017 that will be redundant in 2018.
