Supercars summary of penalties, Townsville 400, update 3
STEWARDS SUMMARY OF JUDICIAL OUTCOMES, Update #3: issued Sunday, 8 July 2018 at 0915hrs.

Matters from Race 17:
Deputy Race Director Incident Determinations
The DRD investigated the following matters post-race and determined they did not warrant referral to the Stewards:
A Request from Brad Jones Racing alleging that Car #6, Cam Waters, passed Car #8, Nick Percat, under Safety Car conditions. The DRD investigation revealed the pass was completed prior to the SC boards and flags being displayed;
A Request from Matt Stone Racing alleging that Car #78, Simona de Silvestro, caused contact with Car #35, Todd Hazelwood, at Turn 3 on Lap 8. The DRD reviewed Judicial Footage from Cars #25, #35 and #78 and determined that no Driver was wholly or predominantly to blame for the Incident;
The Incident involving contact between Car #25, James Courtney, and Car #19, Jack Le Brocq, at the exit of Turn 2 during Race 17. The DRD reviewed Judicial Footage from Cars #18, #19, #25, #34 and #99 and determined that no Driver was wholly or predominantly to blame for the Incident.

Stewards' Decisions Penalties imposed
During the Race the Stewards imposed a Pit Lane Penalty on Car #78, Simona de Silvestro, for a Pit Lane Infringement (breach of Schedule B2, Article 7.3 travelled down the working lane more than the length of 2 Pit Bays from its own Pit Bay without merging or entering wholly into the fast lane).
Following a post-race DRD investigation (involving a review of Judicial Camera footage from Cars #25, #33, #55 and #99 as well as Television Broadcast footage) and an admission of a breach of Schedule B2, Article 2.1 (Careless Driving), the Stewards imposed a 15 second post-race Time Penalty on Car #33, Garth Tander, for Race 17 of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
