Ryan: We have prepared as good as ever
Penrite Racing's Barry Ryan says his team have "prepared as good as ever" as they head into this weekend's Bathurst 1000.

The team arrived in Bathurst yesterday, after spending two weeks preparing in Mount Gambier, between events.

"I could not be prouder of our team with the preparation we have been able to complete coming into this weekend," Ryan said.

"Being at Carlin and Gazzard in Mount Gambier, and having James White our fabricator, as well as Max Medhurst Crash Repairs nearby has been fantastic.

"I truly feel we have prepared as good as ever for this weekend's event and I'm feeling confident that both cars will be fighting up the front on Sunday."

This week marks 14-weeks on the road for the travelling crew that have been away from Melbourne since early July, and Ryan says he has enjoyed seeing the team work together.

"The team morale is extremely high under the circumstances," he said.

"This entire journey on the road has been very interesting and certainly shows each individuals character in our team.

"Everyone is different, everyone has their good and bad days, but most importantly everyone has helped each other out when someone has had those bad days.

"We have all stood by each other in the last four months and I cannot thank them enough."

Among the travelling crew was the team's regular drivers David Reynolds and Anton De Pasquale, along with Shannen Kiely, Brad Tremain, Brad Packham, Brad Johnston, David Gear, Tom Moore, Mirko De Rosa, Tim Jennings, James White and Jack Michelson.

They are joined this weekend by co-drivers Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki, while Head of Engineering Alistair McVean also returns to the track after 14-days quarantine. Betty and Daniel Klimenko will also make their first appearance at the track since the Australian Grand Prix in March.

Practice kicks off tomorrow, ahead of the Sunday race.
