Jamie Whincup - Car #888
"I'm obviously disappointed in my Top 10 Shootout result. Looking back, I probably underestimated the wind which increased and there was quite a tailwind down Conrod Straight which made me overshoot. I feel like I let the team down unfortunately. All I can do tomorrow is look forward to the race, put our best foot forward and battle it out all the way to the end. It's most likely going to be wet tomorrow, and it's starting to rain already, so it's just a matter of staying out of trouble and making sure we're there at the end."

Craig Lowndes - Car #888
"My day was pretty cruisy. We had another co-driver practice session this morning where we focussed on the race car and a race run which went ok I think it would have been nicer to be a little bit quicker over my 15-lap average, but it's good to know we're not looking for too much extra pace in the car. It's just a matter if our speed is comparable to others. I was really happy and comfortable in the car, and I'm looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings weather wise; in all honesty I don't mind what happens either way and I'll take it how it is. It's going to be a long day tomorrow I've been here long enough to know anything's possible. We're a little disappointed in our Top 10 Shootout result to not have both cars closer to the front, but it doesn't matter where you start here tomorrow, it only matters that you finish at the front."

Shane van Gisbergen - Car #97
"Unfortunately, my shootout lap wasn't too good. I'm a little bit pissed with myself as it looked like we were on for potentially second, but I just got it wrong. We'll debrief later tonight and figure out what our strategy is for tomorrow, taking into account some wild weather predicted, but it's a big day tomorrow and anything can happen. My job is to not make any mistakes and hopefully be the first car to get the chequered flag."

Garth Tander - Car #97
"We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow, like everyone else. Everyone's predicted a bit of wild weather to come through tonight, but thankfully it didn't come for the shootout. I think the prediction is that Noah is going to come through in his ark tonight and there will be a bit of rain, but I guess we'll have to wait and see when we wake up in the morning. Overall, today was a good day. I ended up doing a lot more miles than expected because Shane wanted to concentrate on his shootout preparation, so I did a race run in practice seven which was good for me to get a good understanding of how the car will trend over a full stint. Overall, it was a productive day for me, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow."
