Walden Motorsport granted 32nd Licence
Walden Motorsport, last seen on the V8 Supercar grid in 2004, has won the tender process for the 32nd licence to compete in V8 Supercars in 2008 onwards.
The Touring Car Entrants Group (TEGA) awarded the licence to the team following submissions of interest from several parties. Just how many parties were still interested at the end of the tender process is unknown, as several highly ranked Fujitsu teams who initially showed interest pulled out late in the process.
The team had purchased a licence from Romano Racing at the start of this season, but saw the licence acquired by TEGA preventing the team's entry into the series for this season.
The team plans to run out of Silverdale in Sydney's west, which will mean it is the only main series team run out of Sydney.
An announcement on what car or who will drive the car is yet to be made.
