STEWARDS SUMMARY

UPDATE 4 (FINAL): 2200hrs Sunday 11th July 2010

Matters arising from Race 16:

During the Race Stewards imposed Pit Lane Penalties on:
Alex Davison Car #4 for a runaway wheel nut crossing the fast lane.
Jamie Whincup Car #1 for exceeding the Pit Lane speed limit.

Following an investigation concerning Rick Kelly Car #15 travelling more than 2 Pit bays before entering the fast lane from a pit stop and an admission by the Competitor, Motorsport Holdings Pty Ltd, Stewards imposed the Penalty of the loss of 5 Team Championship Points on Motorsport Holdings Pty Ltd.

Following an investigation and an admission by Michael Caruso Car #34 that he drove carelessly in an incident involving contact with Todd Kelly Car #7, Stewards imposed the Penalty of the loss of 10 Championship Points on Michael Caruso Car #34.

Following an investigation and an admission by Steven Richards Car #6 that he drove carelessly in an incident involving contact with Jason Richards Car #8, Stewards imposed the Penalty of the loss of 10 Championship Points on Steven Richards Car #6.

Following an investigation and an admission by Alex Davison Car #4 that he drove Carelessly in an incident involving contact with Lee Holds worth Car #33 Stewards imposed the Penalty of the loss of 10 Championship Points on Ales Davison Car #34.

UPDATE 3: 1200hrs Sunday 11th July 2010

Matters arising from Qualifying for Race 16:

No matters arose.

Matters arising from Race 15:

Following investigations in respect of:
Contact between Car #22 Will Davison and Car #888 Craig Lowndes after the start of the Race no breach of Rules was established.
Contact between Car #4 Alex Davison and Car #19 Jonathon Webb at approx 1602hrs no breach of Rules was established.

Stewards conducted a Hearing in respect of a Charge that James Courtney Car #18 drove carelessly involving a collision with Steve Johnson Car #17 at Turn 2 on Lap 2. After hearing evidence and viewing video and in-car footage it was found that the Charge was proved. Stewards considered all the relevant circumstances of the matter and imposed no penalty.

UPDATE 2: 1800hrs Saturday 10th July 2010

Matters arising from Qualifying Race 15:

Stewards imposed a penalty of the Loss of Fastest Time on Tim Slade Car #47 for crossing the blend line at Pit Exit.

Following an investigation and an admission by Tim Slade Car #47 that he failed to operate the Pit Limiter for the whole length of the Pit Lane Stewards imposed a Fine of $2000 suspended until 31st December 2010 on Tim Slade.

Matters arising from Race 15:

During the Race the Mechanical Black Flag was displayed:
To Car #11 Jason Bargwanna for loose rear bodywork.
To Car #3 Tony D'Alberto for emitting excessive smoke.

Stewards imposed a Pit Lane Penalty on Craig Lowndes Car #888 for the Competitor failing to control equipment and allowing runaway equipment to enter another Competitor's Pit Bay.

Investigations are continuing in respect of:
Contact between Car #22 Will Davison and Car #888 Craig Lowndes after the start of the Race.
Contact between Car #4 Alex Davison and Car #19 Jonathon Webb at approx 1602hrs.
