V8 DAILY DUMP LAUNCHES NEW 'INSIDE WORD' NEWSLETTER AND WEBSITE FOR 2009!

Welcome to the V8 Daily Dump's Inside word. With the V8 off-season seemingly dragging on for ages, the team behind the Daily Dump have had time to once again evolve our site. Just like the teams, you can see the site has had a new lick of paint, and just like the teams, there have also been some subtle changes underneath the paint you can't see, certainly not yet. Interests:
I currently work as a Learning Consultant with Hatch Associates in Port Kembla, NSW. I was married to my wife Kath for 23 years till I lost her to Melanoma Cancer just before Xmas, and have 3 children; Nicole 21, Simone 15, and Steven 12 (in photo at Bathurst 2007), and am a proud Grandad of little Felicity May (my little rabbit)

I first got the motorsport bug back in the late 60's going to the speedway with my Dad and Uncle. My Dad used to do a lot of spannering for some of the drivers, and also later on helped with the construction and development of the Bathurst Pacers and Chargers in the 70's. I attended my first touring car event in 1976 with Charlie O'Brien, (he was going out with my next door neighbour), at the now defunct Amaroo Park Raceway. Though I try to get to as many events as possible these days, my main event is of course Bathurst. My first time was the Saturday of the 1979 event, and my first full weekend was 1982. Since then I have racked up 23 visits, having missed 1987, 1988, 1999, and 2001 due to family and/or overseas work commitments. I currently organise the FOLDEN Bathurst Campgroup each year which had its 5th anniversary at Bathurst last year, and it was the 2nd get together with the V8DD's for the spit roast on the Saturday night.

Lastly, I collect die-cast model cars, of which I have over a 100, and also play lawn bowls, golf, enjoy a little fishing, and now spending quality time with my family. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible this year at Bathurst.
