ONTO TOWNSVILLE AND WILD ENTRIES

The financial year has just ended, half the calendar year is down. For the V8's though, 5 events are down with 9 still to go. The following couple of months are not action packed for the Supercars. Over the coming 10 weeks, there are just 3 rounds held. But following that, Phillip Island hosts the first endurance race, followed by Bathurst with racing every other week until the series finale around Homebush.

The next round coming up see's the V8's debut in Townsville. A track has been constructed around Reid Park, purpose built for the exclusive use of the V8 Supercars. This track will be only used once a year. Similar to Albert Park, this street track is close to a permanent race track.

To endurance news, VESA have announced the 4 wildcard entries for the two events. The Seiders brothers will enter a car for David and Colin to race, Matthew White Racing will enter a car, Greg Murphy racing will enter a car for Sam Walter and Sonic Motorsport Services will enter a Falcon with James Moffat and Rodney Jane expected to campaign the car. Moffat around Bathurst in a Falcon will surely bring back plenty of great memories for many Ford supporters.

Hanging out behind the scenes and being in touch with the races and cars, its safe for me to say IT IS AWESOME!
